Leveraging their decades of participation in the financial industry, NatAlliance executives are well equipped to address the various complexities and potential turmoil brought about by the fundamental, technical and psychological marketplace challenges to the efficient exchange of credit, assets and liabilities.

Mark Salter

Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board

Mark Salter joined NatAlliance in 2009 as a senior partner and is currently the CEO of NatAlliance Securities. Mark also leads the firm’s mortgage derivative securities trading efforts. With more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry Mark’s career focus has been on the fixed income sales and trading for institutional broker-dealers. Mark began his career at a Toronto-based brokerage house advancing into various senior trading and risk management roles. Leveraging his background, Mark moved to head up the trading operation for a major securities’ firm in Houston, Texas. Over time Mark has served as the Director of Sales and Trading for two large regional broker-dealers where he managed extensive trading, sales and operational teams while also leading management committee efforts and serving on the Boards of Directors. Mark graduated with a BA in Economics from York University in Toronto, Canada and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 65, 87, and 4 licenses.

Sammy Loerch

Co-Head of Sales

Sammy Loerch joined NatAlliance Securities in 2009 and is a senior partner in charge of the firm’s sales distribution efforts. Sammy has been involved securities sales in the financial industry for more than thirty years. His sales management, product knowledge and client service expertise gained at both primary and regional broker dealers have served him well as a mentor and leader at NatAlliance. In addition to maintaining relationships with select institutional accounts, Sammy serves as the National Sales Manager and coordinates the challenges of building a successful fixed income sales team while leveraging the most advanced tools and databases in the industry. Earlier in his career Sammy was a top producer at: Tejas Securities Group, Amherst Securities Group, Spires Financial, Westcap Securities, Painwebber Incorporated, Rotan Mosle Inc. and Rauscher Pierce Refsnes. Sammy holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Jason Adams

Director of Trading

Jason Adams is a currently Director of Trading at NatAlliance Securities LLC. Mr. Adams has traded Agency and Non-Agency CMO‘s since 1995. Mr. Adams’ career began at Oppenheimer/CIBC in 1995 and he remained there until 2004. For three years from 2004 to 2007, Mr. Adams traded Agency and Non-Agency CMO’s at Cantor Fitzgerald. Prior to joining Auriga, Mr. Adams was Director of MBS Trading at Keybanc Capital Markets. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a degree in Finance/Economics. Mr. Adams spent four years active duty in the U.S. Army from 1989 to 1993 as a Czech Linguist. Mr. Adams holds Series 7, 24 and 63 Licenses.

Alex Hendrickson

Co-Head of Sales

Alex Hendrickson is currently Co-Head of Sales at NatAlliance Securities LLC. Mr. Hendrickson has over 15 years of experience in fixed income sales and trading. He started his career on Wall Street in the summer of 1995 at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. As a Vice President, Mr. Hendrickson was part of a top performing team specializing in the sales of residential mortgage backed, asset backed and commercial mortgage-backed securities to banks, thrifts, money managers, insurance companies and hedge funds. He continued to be a top producer of all credit sensitive fixed income products at Credit Suisse First Boston after the merger of the two companies in 2000. Mr. Hendrickson left Credit Suisse First Boston in August of 2002 to become a founding partner of The Winter Group. The Winter Group was a fully integrated capital markets residential mortgage sourcing, securitization, trading and distribution platform with significant servicing and asset management capabilities. Mr. Hendrickson received his B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. Mr. Hendrickson holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 Licenses.

John Liepman

Executive Vice President

John Liepman joined NatAlliance Securities in 2009 with more than twenty years of trading and sales experience across all structured product sectors at several securities and investment banking firms. As a co-founder of the NatAlliance Capital Markets division John was able to leverage his comprehensive product knowledge and thorough understanding of the specific needs of financial institutions, both from a portfolio management and operations standpoint. More recently John serves the firm as a board member and a senior business development executive managing the relationships and serving the needs of top tier money management and hedge fund clients. Before joining NatAlliance John was a Managing Director and Group Head in charge of CMO and ABS trading at Tejas Securities and was a co-founder of the Amherst Securities Group. John graduated from the Stephen F. Austin University in Texas and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

Robert Halder

Head of Research and Special Situations

Robert Halder joined NatAlliance Securities in 2016 and serves as the head of the firm’s Research and Special Situations business lines. Rob is a specialist in high yield and distressed situation analysis with a focus in both the financial services and monoline insurance sectors. Prior to joining National Alliance, Rob led the Fixed Income Department at Clearview Trading Advisors and Tejas Securities Group, Inc. Rob’s career experience includes analyzing, advising, and participating in some of the largest in-court and out-of-court restructurings for corporate, municipal and structured bonds including Enron, Lehman Brothers and the City of Detroit. Additionally Rob has also served on the board of directors for numerous distressed financial services companies including Westech Capital Corp. and Trenwick America and served as Chairman, Member, and Advisor to numerous official and ad hoc equity and creditor committees. Rob graduated from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 50, 63, 66, 86 and 87 licenses.

Fred Bush

Chief Financial Officer / FINOP

Fred Bush joined NatAlliance Securities in 2014 and is the firms’ Chief Financial Officer /FINOP. Fred has more than twenty years’ of experience working in various capacities at regional broker dealers and hedge funds. Mr. Bush’s background includes many aspects of financial services including: research, trading, portfolio management and brokerage operations. Mr. Bush graduated from the University of Oklahoma and holds a master degree from Texas State University. Fred has FINRA Series 7, 27, 55 and 63 licenses.

Michelle Carreon

Head of Compliance

Michelle Carreon joined NatAlliance Securities in 2017 as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Michelle has over fifteen years of experience in the financial industry. Ms. Ellis’ experience includes compliance, operations, accounting, commissions and data governance. Michelle has worked with larger broker-dealers as well as family offices of investment advisors. Ms. Ellis hold the FINRA Series 7, 24, 99 and 63 licenses.
