National Alliance Securities Group is the proprietary trading arm of the company and is comprised of a team of independent trading professionals who manage firm’s money by trading in various fixed income securities: US Government/agency, mortgage-related securities and mortgage derivatives, taxable and tax-free municipals, and corporates. These experienced traders take positions for the firm with the intent of trading for future profits. They maintain active trading relationships with national and regional securities firms across the country and may even serve in a brokerage capacity by entering into “riskless” transactions between two parties (a willing buyer and willing seller) simultaneously.
Traders within the Securities Group also may take smaller “odd lot” positions in certain fixed income securities where they can find value due to their size and less liquid nature. In many cases, odd lots trade significantly cheaper than their round lot counterparts and our experienced traders often are able to take advantage of their understanding of these markets and benefit from pricing discrepancies.
